GATE 2026 Admit Card (13 Jan): IIT Guwahati Released Hall Ticket
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has been release of the GATE 2026 admit card on January 13, 2026. The hall ticket was scheduled to be released on January 2, as per the earlier notice, but a new release will be announced soon. After the release of the admit cards, candidates registered for the exam will be able to download their hall ticket from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal by logging in with their credentials.
An official notice on the website states, The release date of the GATE 2026 admit card has been postponed. The revised release date will be announced soon. The GATE 2026 exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in different shifts at exam centres across the country. To download the admit card, candidates must visit the official website and click on the GOAPS application portal link.
Steps to Download GATE 2026 Admit Card
After the release of the GATE 2026 admit card, candidates may download it by performing the following steps:
Step 1: Head to GATE's official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in
Step 2: On the main page, click on the link to the GOAPS Application Portal.
Step 3: Use your enrolment ID or registered email ID and password to log in.
Step 4: Open the dashboard and find the link for the GATE 2026 Admit Card.
Step 5: Matching the details on the printed copy of the hall ticket with your information is advisable.
Step 6: Save the admit card on your device and print a copy to bring on the exam day.

Candidates must note that the admit card is an absolute requirement for entering the exam hall. On the day of the examination, they should have a printed copy of the admit card, along with a valid photo ID proof. The admit card will have the following details: the candidate's name, registration number, paper code, exam centre address, date and time of the exam, photograph, signature, and other necessary instructions for the exam day.
The GATE 2026 examination will be conducted in two shifts on each day of the examination, similar to the previous years. The duration of each paper will be three hours (180 minutes).
The morning shift will probably going to start from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the afternoon shift will most likely be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The precise shift assigned to each candidate, reporting time, and examination centre details will be indicated on the GATE 2026 admit card.
