IIM Nagpur Admission 2026

IIM Nagpur is going to provide admissions to its students in MBA, PhD, and Blended MBA Programs for the 2026 session at its Nagpur and Pune campuses. To get admission in these programs, students will have to appear for the CAT entrance exam. After the exam, students will be selected on the basis of their CAT score, school or college, work experience and personal interview.

Candidates looking for MBA courses (2026-28) need to give the CAT exam in 2025. The admission process is of three steps, performance in CAT, past academic performance, work experience, gender diversity, along with a personal interview and written ability test. The final offer for admission to candidates will be based on the candidate’s overall performance. 

PhD candidates should have a master’s degree, with at least 60% marks, or post-graduate diploma in management with at least 60 % marks, or professional qualifications like CA/ICWA/CS with minimum 50% marks and Bachelor’s degree with 60% or Equivalent, or a completed 5 year integrated Master's degree programme or 4 year Bachelor’s degree programme with the specified minimum percentage.

The process for Blended MBA admission process is in 3 steps. First step is to complete the application form by mid-November 2025, following checking eligibility and an IIMNAT screening exam, where the shortlisted candidates for Personal Interviews are announced in December 2025. The Final merit list based on the screening exam, total marks scored in academic records and interview performance marks is released. IIM Nagpur Selection Criteria 2026

For MBA admissions, the selection process is conducted through the Common Admission Process after the CAT 2025 results. The process has three stages. 

Stage 1: Candidates are shortlisted based on their minimum common admission test (CAT) cutoff percentiles, and the general category cutoff is expected to be around the 94th-95th percentile.

Stage 2: Then complete the common application form for CAP, and attend a Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). 

Stage 3: Candidates are selected based on a composite score which has the weighted average of CAT scores (50%), PI or personal interview (25%), Academic Performance prior to MBA (5%), work experience (10%), and gender diversity indicator (10%). Candidates submit their previous academic records and work experience records to be verified as admissible evidence.

To be eligible for admission in the IIM Nagpur School of Business, the PhD programs require candidates to hold a Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or hold a professional qualification (CA, ICWA, or CS) according to stage 1 requirements of the school, along with a research proposal. The ultimate selection is based upon candidates capable with their academic qualifications (30%) and interview performance (70%). The evaluation primarily focused on academic excellence, the candidates research aptitude, both relative and the candidates' presentation skills (team), and the candidates' quality.

IIM Nagpur Admission Process 2026

The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur’s admission process for the MBA courses has 3 stages in total, which consider your CAT 2024 scores along with academia, work experience, gender diversity, and various components of the interview and writing ability test performance. These stages are as follows: 

Step 1: If you wrote the CAT 2024, you will be validated for the minimum cut-off scores. If you have qualified, you will receive an email to fill out an application form.

Step 2: After filling the application form, you will be invited for an offline personal interview (PI) and written ability test (WAT) at a later date to be decided. 

Step 3: After the interview and writing test, the candidate’s overall performance and other parameters are calculated to derive a final score. Admission offers are sent based on your final score. 

The selected candidates will be receiving the admission offers via email provisionally. To secure your seat, you must pay an acceptance fee of INR 1,00,000, which will be adjusted against term fees for the first term.

IIM Nagpur Courses 2026

The IIM Nagpur offers a number of courses at the postgraduate and doctoral levels. Some of these courses are the regular MBA and Executive MBA for working professionals. As for the PhD degrees, it offers a doctoral degree in Economics, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, and Human Resources Management. Working professionals can pursue an Executive Ph.D.

IIM Nagpur Fees Structure 2026 

IIM Nagpur has a tuition fee ranging from around INR 3.7 lakh for Post Graduate Certificate Programmes to INR 21,00,000 for General MBA. The Executive MBA options, including a general Executive MBA and one specialising in Energy Management, have fees of around INR 9.5 lakh to INR 12 lakh. 

The Post Graduate Certificate Programmes have a different fee structure for all 12 specializations. The certificate programs are available online or in a blended format, consisting of key areas including Senior Management, Global Senior Executive Leadership Programme, Project Management Programme, Healthcare Management, and Digital Marketing with a maximum duration of 6 to 12 months. As for the PhD candidates, stipends, grants, and research funding for conferences are available too. IIM Nagpur Cutoffs 

The CAT cut-offs for IIM Nagpur admissions in 2025 are different for each of the three sections (VARC, DILR, and QA) as well as the overall scores. The placement numbers released by IIM Nagpur for the recent batch indicated a 100% placement rate. The average CTC was INR 18,07,253, and the median CTC was INR 17,03,700, showing that most students received a package that was competitive. The average packages for the top 10% of the batch were INR 31,73,293, and the top 25% were INR 25,14,420, while the top 50% were INR 21,59,734, which is indicative of great earning potential. The highest CTC offered during placements was a staggering INR 69,57,000. IIM Nagpur Campus 

IIM Nagpur is located in Dahegaon Mauza, MIHAN, Nagpur, Maharashtra, and its campus covers 132 acres.
