The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) admission process to various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs is completed by filling out the application form. The admission in B.Tech and B.Arch courses is based on the JEE Main scores and the counselling is done through JAC Delhi and other IGDTUW courses require different entrance exams. The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) eligibility criteria for admission are based on the university guidelines. The following are the detailed eligibility for the UG, PG and PhD.

IGDTUW BBA Course Eligibility

Female candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 50% marks and have English (Core/Elective/Functional) as a subject. The IGDTUW admission is based on the CUET UG entrance exam. The candidates appeared in the English (25%) and General Aptitude Test (75%) is mandatory.

IGDTUW B.Tech/B.Tech MAE+MBA Course Eligibility

candidates secure a minimum of 60% marks in class 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also pass in English (Core and Elective) as a subject. The candidates also have JEE Main 2025 rank. 

IGDTUW B.Arch Course Eligibility 

Candidates can apply only if they have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English or a 10+3 Diploma in Maths with at least 45% marks and have qualified JEE Main 2025 (Paper II). 

IGDTUW B.Sc+M.Sc Course Eligibility

• For Chemistry: Candidates must include Chemistry in their best four subjects and score at least 55%. They also need a minimum of 50% in Chemistry and must pass in English in Class 12th.

• For Physics: Candidates must take Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and mark 55% in their best four subjects. They must score at least 50% in both Physics and Chemistry and also pass in English in class 12th.

IGDTUW M.Tech Course Eligibility

• Candidates must have at least 60% marks in B.Tech/B.E. in any related field such as CSE, IT, ECE, Electrical, Software, Electronics, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, Mechanical Automation, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Information Science, or an equivalent qualification.

• MCA or M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT/Maths/Statistics with Computer/IT as a major subject) or AMIE/AMIETE in a relevant discipline are also accepted. 

• Candidates with or without a GATE score can both apply.

IGDTUW MCA Course Eligibility

Completion of a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks and Mathematics in class 12th or a 3-year BCA/BITS/BIS degree with at least 60% marks.

IGDTUW M.Plan. Course Eligibility

candidates must have at least 50% marks in any of the following:

• B.Arch/B.Plan/B.E./B.Tech (Civil) or equivalent,
• M.A./M.Sc. in Geography or Economics,
• M.A. in Sociology.

IGDTUW MBA Course Eligibility

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA and a valid CAT-2025/MAT-2025 score.

IGDTUW  PhD Course Eligibility

• Engineering: M.E./M.Tech (or equivalent) and B.E./B.Tech with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Sciences: Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in the relevant field with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Computer Applications: MCA with 60% marks and a graduation degree with Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Architecture & Planning: Master’s degree in Architecture/Planning with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) OR Bachelor’s degree with 75% marks (70% for reserved categories) plus 5 years of professional/research experience.
• Management: Master’s degree in Management/Engineering/Technology/ Commerce/Economics/related fields with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. AICTE/UGC-recognised PG Diplomas equivalent to a Master’s degree are also accepted.

IGDTUW Admission Process 2026

The application process has many steps. Candidates must follow the following steps to fill out the application form through the admission portal on the university website.

Step 1: Kindly fill the personal details such as name, DOB, address & email ID, etc.

Step 2: Select the department in which you want to apply. If you want to apply to more than one course, you need to submit a separate application for each course and pay a separate application fee.

Step 3: Fill out the educational details and qualifying test marks.

Step 4: According to the opted course must fill the experience details.

IGDTUW Counselling Procedure & Seat Allotment

The counselling process at IGDTUW generally starts after the entrance exam results are announced. Eligible candidates must register online on the official counselling portal and fill in their preferred courses and branches. After registration, the university releases a merit list based on entrance scores. 

Selected candidates are invited for counselling rounds. During counselling, seats are allotted on the basis of candidates rank, their chosen preferences and the availability of seats in each program. After a seat is allotted, candidates must confirm it by paying the required admission fee within the given deadline.

IGDTUW Undergraduate Courses

• B.Tech: The university provides a Bachelor of Technology program with a duration of 4 years. The B.Tech courses are held in several domains such as computer science & engineering, information technology, electronics & communication engineering, artificial intelligence & machine learning, CSE (Artificial Intelligence), ECE (Artificial Intelligence), mechanical & automation engineering, mathematics and computing. 

• B.Tech (MAE) + MBA: The university also offers a course in Bachelor of Technology (MAE) with Master of Business Administration, which is 6 years dual degree course. 

• B.Arch- IGDTUW: offers a five year full-time Bachelor of Architecture course for students who want to pursue a career in architecture and design. The Department of Architecture and Planning was started in 2015. 

• BBA: The Bachelor of Business Administration program offered by the university is divided into four areas such as the departmental core course, allied management course, departmental elective course and generic open elective course. This program has six major specialisations, namely finance, marketing, human resources, IEV, business analytics and management of global business. There is a provision of a summer internship for BBA students.

• Integrated B.Sc and M.Sc: IGDTUW has a five year integrated Bachelor of Science and Master of Science course for girls. This program is available in the Physics and Chemistry domains. This program combines both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. It also offers entry and exit options.

IGDTUW Postgraduate Courses

PG courses are offered in MBA, M.Tech, MCA and M.Plan. The duration of these courses is 2 years. The given details are about the PG courses.

• MBA: The Master of Business Administration is a two-year full-time program spread over four semesters. The program focuses on developing the right skills, which are essential for corporate leaders in the long term. The specialisations are offered in finance, human resource management, marketing, business analytics, operations & supply chain management, information technology, knowledge management and international business.

• M.Tech: The Master of Technology offered by the IGDTUW is a two year program for those students who have completed a B.Tech and B.E degree. The university provides different specialisations such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence & data science, VSI design and robotics & automation. 

• MCA: The Master of Computer Applications is 2 year program for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The MCA course has about 76 seats. The course includes practical lab work and project assignments. 

• M.Plan.: The Master of Planning program covers various aspects of urban planning, management of urban spaces and others. This is a two year full time course and 26 seats are available for this. 

IGDTUW Doctoral Program 

The PhD program has a duration of a minimum of three years and a maximum of six years. IGDTUW offers research programs in many domains, such as Management, Architecture and planning, Physics, Chemistry and many more.

• PhD: IGDTUW PhD admission offers in CSE/IT, Computer Applications, ECE, MAE, Electrical Engineering, Management, Architecture and planning, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Students can join full time or part time research scholars. Full time scholars may receive a monthly stipend and in some cases the university provides Junior or Senior Research Fellowships.

IGDTUW Cutoff

The IGDTUW cutoff varies each year based on the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and seat availability. Both Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) and IGDTUW will release the cutoffs of different courses and streams. For B.Tech admissions, the JEE Main rank is considered, and seats are allotted through the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi. For M.Tech students need to clear the GATE Exam, and the counselling will be done through the JAC. Generally, the cutoff for highly preferred branches like Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence goes high. For B.Arch, a valid NATA score is required, and the admission is again handled through JAC Delhi. In addition, Ph.D. program admission will be done through the RAT exam and interview. Candidates are advised to check the official JAC Delhi portal for the most accurate and updated cutoff details during counseling.

IGDTUW Campus 2026

The Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has a modern campus with advanced labs, fully Wi-Fi, computer centre, a library, an auditorium and etc. The campus provides different types of facilities.

IT Services: The university has a strong and secure IT setup. It uses high end CISCO switches and provides 24×7 internet connectivity through a 1 Gbps NKN leased line and a 50 Mbps MTNL leased line, connected through optical fiber. About 550 computers and 85 printers are connected to the campus network, which is managed by the Planning and Development Division.

Hostel: IGDTUW has two hostels for women, namely Krishna and Kaveri with a total capacity of around 350 students. They are located inside the campus and offer a safe and comfortable environment. All rooms are twin or triple sharing and include beds, study tables, chairs, and cupboards. Hostel seats are allotted to full-time students as per university rules.

Library: The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is the main library of the university. It has a collection of textbooks, journals, reference books, e-resources, and audio-visual materials in fields like engineering, science, technology, communication, and management.

Medical Facility: The campus has a health centre that provides basic medical care. It has essential medicines, a resting bed, medical equipment, and first-aid tools.

Bank Facility: A branch of Punjab & Sind Bank, along with an ATM is available inside the campus. It allows students, staff, and faculty to easily perform banking transactions and withdraw cash.
