KJ Somaiya College of Engineering BTech Admission 2025

KJSCE BTech admission for the new academic session of 2025-26 is open. Admissions will be conducted in different stages, based on the marks obtained in Class 12 and in state-level and national-level entrance examinations. A candidate is required to appear in the following entrance examinations: SAT, JEE Main, PERA-CET, CUET-UG and MHT-CET. The first and second rounds of admission are closed. The application form for the third round ended on 5 July 2025. Seat allotment for provisional seats will be announced accordingly.

KJ Somaiya College of Engineering BTech Eligibility Criteria

BTech admissions at KJ Somaiya School of Engineering in multiple disciplines such as Civil Engr., Mechanical Engr., Electronics & Communication Engineering, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, etc., are based on the entrance exams conducted at national-level, state-levels and academic performance of Class 12 from a recognised board.

Applicants with a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 with Physics and Maths as mandatory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects as optional subjects and the candidates, who have qualified for any of the following entrance exams: JEE Main, CUET-UG, SAT, PERA-CET and MHT-CET are eligible for the BTech program at KJSCE.

KJ Somaiya College of Engineering Entrance Exam

Admissions for BTech courses are accepted through various state and national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CUET-UG, PERA-CET, MHT-CET, and SAT.

JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) and CUET-UG (Central University Entrance Test) are national-level entrance exams for various Engineering programs at the Undergraduate level. Both of these exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency. JEE Main is conducted in two sessions: one in January and the second one is April.

PERA-CET is an entrance test conducted in association with colleges and universities of Maharashtra. The registration process of PERA CET was held from 3 June to 27 June 2025. Examination was conducted on 30 June 2025, 01 July 2025, and 02 July 2025.

MHT-CET, Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, is an online state-level entrance examination for various Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, etc. courses at UG and PG levels. It is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra.

How to Apply for BTech Admission at KJ Somaiya College of e

Admissions for BTech at KJSCE will be conducted in three phases on the basis of JEE Main, CUET-UG, MHT-CET, PERA-CET and SAT.

The first round has already been conducted, and candidates are required to apply for the second and third rounds before the deadline.

The key steps include registration for pre-admission, filling out the application form by providing all the necessary personal and educational qualifications, uploading required documents, paying an amount of INR 2000 as an application fee and finally submitting the application form. Candidates can apply more than once for different phases within the same preapplication form.

KJ Somaiya College of Engineering BTech First Year Merit Scholarship

Merit scholarship will be granted to BTech candidates based on their JEE Main 2025 or MHT-CET 2025 entrance exam scores. 20% of the total admission seats will be considered for merit scholarship.

Eligibility for Merit Scholarship:

Students need to score more than 95% in JEE Main 2025 or MHT-CET 2025 for streams such as Computer Engineering (COMP), Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AIDS) and Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS).

Applicants have to secure more than 90% in JEE Main 2025 or MHT-CET 2025 for streams such as Information Technology (IT), Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (RAI), Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC), Computer and Communication Engineering (CCE), Electronics & Computer Engineering (EXCP), Mechanical Engineering (MECH) and Electronics Engineering (VLSI design & Technology).

Note: Applicants need to apply early to secure a scholarship seat because merit scholarship seats are limited and will be given on the basis of 1st cum 1st served.
