Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University is a well-known public university that offers a range of courses at various levels, from undergraduate to professional, along with diploma and certificate programs. The application fee of the Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University charges INR 1,000 for General category students and INR 550 for SC and ST candidates. Applicants must upload scanned copies of required documents such as mark sheets of previous qualifications, certificates, a photograph, etc.

Admission to UG courses is mostly based on merit, i.e., marks obtained in the previous qualifying exam. Admission to most of the UG courses is based on merit, which means the marks scored in the qualifying exam are considered. PRSU UG fees vary based on programs. The annual fee for BSc programs is around INR 1,28,000.

PRSU PG Admission 2026

For postgraduate studies, PRSU provides a wide range of programs such as MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, MEd, and MTech. The total duration of the PG courses is 2 years, divided into 4 semesters. 

To be eligible for admission to the Postgraduate program, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks, whereas a 5% relaxation is provided to students of reserved categories. 

For the MBA program at PRSU, the university requires a valid score in CAT and MAT, whereas for the M.Tech program, a valid score in GATE is considered. Admission to the PG courses is either based on merit or entrance exams. The annual tuition fee of the MSc program is INR 40,000 (Approx.).

PRSU PhD Admission 2026

PRSU offers PhD programs in multiple fields like Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, and Law. These programs require at least 3 years to complete and can take up to 6 years. To apply for a PhD, candidates must have a master’s degree or a professional qualification with at least 55% marks in the relevant disciplines. 

Admission to the PhD program is granted based on an entrance test followed by a personal interview. Shortlisted candidates must also present a summary of their proposed research topic.

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University has commenced its admission process for the academic session 2026-27, offering a diverse range of UG, PG, diploma, certificate, and PhD programs. The application fee is INR 1,000 for candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories, and INR 550 for SC and ST candidates, which is non-refundable and must be paid via the university's online payment portal during the application process. 

PRSU Eligibility Criteria 2026

UG Programs

Candidates applying for UG programs at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 55% marks. 

Admission to UG programs is conducted based on the performance in the entrance test organised by the university.

PG Programs

For PG programs, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university with a minimum passing score of 50% for candidates belonging to the General category and 45% for those from the reserved category, i.e., SC, ST, OBC(non-creamy layer), and PH categories. 

PhD Programs

Eligibility for PhD programs requires a Master’s degree or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by the relevant statutory regulatory body. Applicants must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale. 

Admission to the PhD program is based on a university-based entrance examination, followed by a personal interview. Shortlisted candidates must present a synopsis of their research proposal before a panel. 

Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF), CSIR-NET (including JRF), SLET, GATE, or have completed an M.Phil. degree may be exempted from the entrance test, subject to the submission of valid proof.

PRSU Admission Process 2026

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University has started its admission process for the 2026-27 session. Students can submit the application form by the last date of 31st December 2025(Tentative). All steps are done online through the official website. 

Step 1: Go to the official website of PRSU.

Step 2: Sign up with your name, email, and password. Make sure your email and phone number are active for updates.

Step 3: Log in and fill in your personal and educational details, including your name, qualification, date of birth, etc.

Step 4: Upload clear copies of your photo, signature, and marksheets. Keep file size and format as instructed.

Step 5: Pay INR 1,000 (General/OBC) or INR 550 (SC/ST) online using cards or net banking.

Step 6: Check all details, then submit the form. Save the confirmation slip for later use.
